an unconscious animalistic urge to get it's hungers met one way or another.
These instinctual urges are powerful forces indeed.
There's the possibility they can become addictions, and/or they can make
it hard for
you to do things you know you should do, like stay on a diet, exercise,
or whatever it is. Struggling with willpower is not the answer, but learning
how to control your emotions
is the key.
Here is a story that illustrates the point and eludes to the answer.
There was a young child who was having the time of her life walking with
her Dad on a forest trail. The birds were singing, they saw many animals
along the way. They saw a dear, some rabbits, and there was a hawk way up in
the sky. At one point they got to see a fox darting through the trees.
Now picture the same story, except this time the little girl is in the forest
without her father, now the animals are not so well behaved, her experience
in the forest is very different for her.
